I can't speak for ATT but I used my Verizon plan in Japan. Throughout my trip I didn't have any issues with coverage but it might be different from ATT. 10 months ago. In order to roam in Europe you would have to be in a supported country and purchase the international travel add-on. BTW To be clear, AT&T Prepaid does not offer data roaming outside of the US, Canada and Mexico. Would be nice to have such an add-on. It does. But it's limited to these countries.
